Cutting Back on Christmas Decorations

Feb. 29, 2016

Dear Cathy:

My wife drives me crazy every year with all these Christmas decorations. It’s not just the tree and stockings in the living room, but she is not happy until there is Christmas towels and Christmas soap in the bathroom and even another tree and other holiday decorations downstairs. It drives me nuts. I was raised differently, with just a tree and stockings and that’s it. What can I do to tone down Christmas? Christmas Decorations Everywhere, Indiana

Dear Christmas Decorations Everywhere:

Even though it’s past the Christmas season and this is still on your mind, shows that it’s a big problem on the arisen. Why don’t you sit down now and talk with your wife before she goes out and buy other Christmas decorations for the upcoming holiday season.

See if she can meet you half way and maybe even compromise to alternate every other year with the decorations. I believe one Christmas tree would be fine but if you have grandchildren, the stockings over the fireplace is a must. Anything besides that can get to be a little overwhelming so just tell her how you feel.

You also might want to alternate the size of the tree. Every other year try to alternate the size of the tree from going to medium to small then medium again.

Your wife was obviously raised with other expectations about the holiday season than you were or maybe she had to do without these things and hoped to have all of these things around her during the holiday season so try to look at her point of view also.

Many people try to relive their pasts as they get older or what they missed as a child so again something more could be happening there so be patient with her and enjoy the season.

Wife Attracted To Other Women

Feb. 27, 2016

Dear Cathy:

After 25 years of marriage, my wife told me she is attracted to other women. She said she has only acted on this a few times before but at this point I can’t really trust anything that she says to me. Every day I wonder where our relationship stands. One day she says she wants to work it out and the next she says we should get a divorce. I don’t know if I should end this or wait to see where it goes. What do you think? Wife Attractions, Connecticut

Dear Wife Attractions:

Marriages today are extremely hard to deal with. You think you will spend the rest of your life with someone, then someone tragic like this happens. Being attracted to another man or woman is not a crime, but once a spouse acts on those attractions, then it's time for one or both of you to take action.

I would handle your wife’s attraction to other women the same as if she was attracted to other men. I know it can be a shocking and painful situation that have left a lot of confusion on your part but being unfaithful is being unfaithful.

If you and she are ever going to survive what is happening, you will have to take action and move on. The sooner the better so the both of you can carve out some type of life either together or away from each other.

Counseling of course is a good first option but not just counseling to keep you together but counseling to help you go your separate ways. Also read the book “The Other Side of the Closet,” by Amity Pierce Buxton, Ph.D., and check out this support group entitled the "Straight Spouse Network" (www.straightspouse.org), which offers emotional support after a wife or a husband comes out as yours did.

Wife Experiences Unbearable Hot Flashes

Feb. 23, 2016

Dear Cathy:

My wife is 51 years old and she experiences the most unbearable hot flashes and it has not only interrupted our sleep time but also our love life. Before she started having nighttime sweats, mood changes and being tired all the time, we had an active sex life. What can we do? Unbearable Hot Flashes, Nevada

Dear Unbearable Hot Flashes:

By the time a women go through the change of life, her body will experience many hormonal changes, which might not only cause an interruption in her sleep pattern but her sex life also.

First of all you need to understand that not all women have issues with hot flashes. The number one reason she is experiencing this is probably because of her diet, especially if she eats GMO processed foods – any foods in packages, bags, cans, jars, etc. – foods that have been altered.

Remember that all beef and chicken are fed “Bovine Growth Hormones,” which is steroid to make the beef produce more milk and cause the chickens to become larger, so she needs to clean up her diet and stop eating beef, chicken, eggs and drinking milk and eating other dairy products, which causes hot flashes.

Even white bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, corn and other high-carb foods can also contribute to cycles of moodiness and fatigue when you have hot flashes.

I don't know a lot about hormones as treatment for hot flashes because we know that all medications have side effects and some even cause diseases such as cancer -- so she needs to conduct her own research.

However, a woman can take a little more control over the consequences of her symptoms by eating better, exercising and getting plenty of sleep.

I also recommend she reads these two books “Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type” and my health book “How To Take Control of Your Own Life: A Self-Help Guide To Becoming Healthier Over the Next 30 Days” – available as an e-book and paperback at www.AngelsPress.com.

Is It True That Bald Men Make Better Lovers?

Feb. 22, 2016

Dear Cathy:

Is it true that bald men have a higher sex drive and might make better lovers than men with hair? Seeking Bald Lover, Michigan

Dear Seeking Bald Lover:

Yes it is true and with over 50% of men today age 40 and over suffering from Erectile Dysfunction or impotence, ladies love it when men have a high sex drive.

So ladies don’t count out bald men for lovers and marriage. It’s every woman’s dream to have a man with a high sex drive and women love men with bald heads -- so fellas don't forget that.

Losing your hair at a young age can be pretty depressing but it also has its benefits. For about 50% of men, hair loss is a reality.

At first, it can be tragic, depressing, a horrible reminder of immortality, but once a guy realizes it’s just a fact of life, and learn to own it, they become even more of a catch than they ever thought possible.

Having a bald head could mean a higher sex drive because the more testosterone a man has, the thinner his hair. And, high levels of testosterone are linked to higher sex drives in men.

Other benefits include – they are less likely to develop testicular tumors because higher levels of testosterone offer some protection; Their physical assets like dimples, long eye lashes and pearly whites pops out; They might be better at sports because many men who are good at sports are bald; They are low maintenance, which many women like; They save big bucks on hair products and they master how to wear a hat because no one can wear a hat like a bald guy.

Couple Seeking More Sexual Activity Through Their Diets

Jan. 19, 2016

Dear Cathy:

My husband and I conduct a lot of research and as we age we wanted to keep eating foods that might give us a better sex drive. Which foods should we eat to make us have a stronger sex drive as we age? Better Sex Drive, North Carolina

Dear Better Sex Drive:

Eating the right foods will give you longer lasting energy, especially during any type of sexual activity. Therefore, most couples should eat foods for their blood type, which will give them tons of energy and vitality, so buy the book “Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type” and maintain a holistic and natural diet and lifestyle.

You can also eat foods containing Vitamin E (The Sex Vitamin), foods containing zinc and citrus fruits, however, I would not eat any of these foods unless they are the foods that is on your blood type list.

All processed foods contains GMO corn and soybeans and most people are allergic to corn. When people are allergic to foods, they don’t necessary have to break out in red spots, instead they will feel weak, sluggish or run-down, or just want to go to sleep.

I call these “Good Night Foods” and this is why a lot of people fall asleep at their desks, especially after lunch, and in front of the TV at night.

Usually your allergic reaction might come as some type of allergy, sinus or congestion issue, where fluid builds up. However, it can also be headaches or body aches.

Monitor yourself for up to 72 hours after you eat to see if you are eating foods you are allergic to. Usually you will have a symptom in 15 to 30 minutes.

Just some of these “Good Night Foods” include chocolate, eggs, dairy products and fried foods. These are also called “mucus-producing foods,” which causes inflammation in your body, which causes your body to swell up with fluids on the insides and every major disease is associated with inflammation.

Wife Loses Sexual Desires After A Hysterectomy

Feb. 18, 2016

Dear Cathy:

My wife is 60 years old and up until now, we have enjoyed an active sex life. However, after having an hysterectomy, she has lost the desire to enjoy sex so what can we do? Lost Desire, Missouri

Dear Lost Desire:

There are two types of hysterectomies, a partial and a complete (or total) hysterectomy. In the past there have been a lot of studies conducted and OB/GYN doctors do give women hysterectomies UNNECESSARILY, especially women of color.

So women should never allow a doctor to remove her eggs completely when they receive a hysterectomy. Keep at least one egg because if they give you a COMPLETE or TOTAL hysterectomy, you will be at risk for Heart Disease, Alzheimers, and Osteoporosis.

This could also be why many nursing homes today are filled with Alzheimer’s patients because of how they use to give hysterectomies, unnecessarily, years earlier. They are even calling Alzheimer’s “Type 3 Diabetes.”

If she has a complete hysterectomy, she will be at risk for Osteoporosis so she needs to keep up with her yearly bone density tests, while eating a natural diet, exercising and getting plenty of rest. Strength training for your bones will also be important.

Dairy products can actually cause an acidic environment to exist in your body and weaken your bones so she needs to only eat foods for her blood type and get off all dairy products, while maintaining an alkaline diet and lifestyle.

Along with her daily Multi-Vitamin for women, she should be taking Vitamin D3, with Magnesium and Calcuim, Omega 3 Fish Oil and Flaxseed Oil Supplements.

Every women is different when it comes a hysterectomy and just because one women experiences a low sexual drive after a partial or complete hysterectomy, doesn’t mean all women will.

Her diet, vitamin and mineral supplements and lifestyle will be key to maintaining an active sex life. Personally after having a complete hysterectomy, I never had a loss of desire, especially after maintaining a holistic and natural lifestyle. So basically that is a myth that people like to pass around.

To learn more about living a natural and holistic lifestyle, both of you should read "How To Take Control of Your Own Life: A Self-Help Guide To Becoming Healthier Over the Next 30 Days" -- available as an e-book and paperback.

What Age Should My Husband Have His Testosterone Level Checked?

Feb. 17, 2016

Dear Cathy:

I have a hard time getting my husband to have regular checkups at the doctor's office. He is only 42 with a very low sex drive and I am thinking it might be his testosterone. At what age should my husband have his testosterone level checked and what else should we know about testosterone?  Low Sex Drive, Arkansas

Dear Low Sex Drive:

Years ago, they told all men to have their testosterone level checked at age 50 but because of toxic GMO foods and environments, they are telling all men today to get checked at age 35 or even earlier.

They call Testosterone, Low T, and it is known as the “Love Hormone.” Testosterone is a hormone that is produced by the human body and is mainly produced in the testicles in men.

It stimulates sperm production and a man’s sex drive and also helps build muscle and bone mass. During puberty, testosterone helps build a man's muscles, deepens his voice, and boosts the size of his penis and testes.

In adulthood, it keeps a man’s muscles and bones strong and maintains his interest in sex. After age 30, most men begin to experience a gradual decline in testosterone.

Some of the symptoms include low sex drive; Low Semen Volume, which can cause infertility; Hair Loss; Fatigue & Lack of Energy; Loss of Muscle Mass; Increase In Body Fat; Decrease In Bone Mass; and mood changes.

Women often experience changes in mood during menopause, when their levels of estrogen drops, however, men with low T can experience similar symptoms.

Testosterone influences many physical processes in the body. It can also influence mood and mental capacity, including depression, irritability, or a lack of focus.

Treatments include Testosterone injections; A daily gel or patch; and they can implant pellets in your rear, which can release testosterone over the course of 3 to 4 months.

There are also side effects so try to use a natural supplement from a health or wholefood store instead. Testosterone treatments can raise a man’s red blood cell count, as well as enlarge his breasts, and accelerate prostate growth so treatments are not advised for men with or at risk for prostate cancer.

The goal is to get entrenched in the holistic or natural community, which contains the keys to having an active and healthy sex life.  You can read more on how to do this in my health book "How To Take Control of Your Own Life: A Self-Help Guide To Becoming Healthier Over the Next 30 Days" (Series 3) -- available as an e-book and paperback at http://www.AngelsPress.com

Is It Okay To Take Viagra?

Feb. 16, 2016

Dear Cathy:

I almost took Viagra on Valentine’s Day. I am 45 years old and in pretty good shape and have never been on any type of medication but have had impotence for quite a while. Do you think it will be okay to take the pill sometimes? Need To Satisfy My Mate, California

Dear Need To Satisfy My Mate:

No it's never okay to take any type of medication. All medications have a side effect. Even antidepressants causes depression so I would not risk it at all.

If you are in pretty good shape and would like to maintain that then introducing any type of medication, whether it is over-the-counter or prescribed, could literally send your body into shock.

Reactions from medications are either mild or acute, so you never know how your body will react. The side effects of taking Viagra is Vision Loss, Hearing Loss, and Heart Attacks.

Even if you take the pill just once, it can cause any of these reactions. Also it might take you hours to come down from the effects of taking Viagra and you might end up in the emergency room or worse.

You can even rupture your penis causing excessive bleeding and pain. Your penis can even split straight down the middle, especially if you take too many pills so understand that Viagra pills are not candy.

There could be a lot of reasons that you are impotence so you need to get to the root of what is happening.
Have your prostate and your testosterone level checked, however, it could very well be your diet if you are eating processed foods or any foods that have been altered (foods in cans, jars, boxes, packages, etc.)

Every processed food  today contains Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), which causes infertility in women and sterility in men.

The key to having a strong sex life is found in most holistic and natural communities.  Health and wholefood stores have supplements that all men need to maintain a good sex life.

Eating a toxic GMO diet and living in a toxic environment will cause impotence along with drinking alcohol so read the book "How To Take Control of Your Own Life: A Self-Help Guide To Becoming Healthier Over the Next 30 Days" -- available as an e-book and paperback at http://www.AngelsPress.com

Girlfriend Too Clingy

Feb. 5, 2016

Dear Cathy:

I met a women a month ago and everything has been going fine up until now. She is a beautiful charming woman and all my friends told me I lucked out. However, she calls me too much when I am at work. And sometimes she just shows up where she know I will be. I have never had a relationship like this before so how should I handle it? Clingy Girlfriend, Ohio

Dear Clingy Girlfriend:

Remember no two relationships are ever the same and it sounds like this person is really into you. If she calls you too much on your job, then you need to let her know that.

What she is doing is her way of showing you that she cares. Sometimes a woman can get too clingy because they just want to make sure that you are still into them so show her you are still into her by spending time with her.

If you are thinking about her then just tell her that. This will make her feel good and reassure her that you are still there and things haven’t changed.

When you are out with the boys, give her a call or text because women do get nervous when you are out with the boys. Just step away from your buddies and send her a text, which will only take a few seconds.

Give her compliments when you are with her. Women want to know that you notice different things about them so give her compliments. If you do all of these things, then she will know you are into her and will probably stop being so clingy.

Not only will she stop being clingy, but she’ll be in a rush to show you just how special you are – if you know what I mean.

I Always Meet Abusive Men

Feb. 3, 2016

Dear Cathy:

It’s seems that every time I meet a man, he turns out to be abusive. What am I doing wrong that I have to meet these types of men? Abusive Men, California

Dear Abusive Men:

The first sign that a relationship will be abusive, you need to get away from it. It is too many good men out there that would be willing to treat you like a queen so don’t allow a man to disrespect you in anyway -- mentally or physically, so look for all the warning signs.

Is he hot-tempered? Does he lose control at the drop of a hat? Does he yell? Does he curse around you? Does he experience road rage? Does he try to control everything in the relationship?

These are all warning signs that something more might be going on and these are the types of relationships you need to back away from. And also look at how he treats other women, especially his mother.

Some men were raised to treat women horribly, so you need to understand that. Some women are so desperate to be in relationships that they settle for any man interested in them, even though, chances are these men are up to no good.

Before moving on to another relationship, try to use this time to work on your ownself. Find a hobby, start a business or just spend some quiet time everyday meditating and thinking about your own life.

Some women have a void in their lives and they try to fill these voids with relationships that are no good for them, so again use this time to fulfill your own needs, something outside of a relationship.

When Mr. Right do show up in your life, and he will, he will be able to recognize the queen that you are because you have worked on your ownself.
